Top Management Consulting firms in India

For decades, Management Consulting firms have thrived by creating ambiguity & making things more complex than they actually are and resorting to jargons to make sure clients have no clue of what they are talking about. However, this is now increasingly being called out by companies globally.

Situation is no different in India where Government departments, PSUs and big private companies are now hiring consultants for almost all major projects. However, despite being bitten by the likes of BCG & KPMG, who often charge a fortune for adding little or no value, they are reluctant to go to small but more competent firms. It's surprising that there is very limited supply of quality work in consulting industry where big stakes, long term profitability & even survival of companies are on line.

Big 3 -  To their credit, the Big three have been able to evolve rapidly keeping pace with the changing dynamics by continuously investing in innovation & technologies of future. They also remain the biggest means to provide credibility to decisions taken by CEOs & Governments around the world who may otherwise face tough questions from the board, investors & general public.

Big 4 - Notwithstanding the conflict of interest because of their Audit division & a poor service quality record, the Big Four are making good money through their Management Consulting divisions globally - including India as their name adds credibility to any large public spending by Government departments & corporates.

New Age Management Consulting Firms - The undesirable trend of poor accountability in this industry will end only when one or more players start focusing on building trust through accountable results and gain a toehold in the industry. A second disruption in consulting industry will not be too far then. Bombay Center For Business And Strategy is one such Management Consulting Firm headquartered in Delhi which aims to create an India based Management Consultancy giant which can be a trusted advisor to organizations across public, private & social sectors by providing quality advisory services.

Give Me@ning to your life

Ever thought what all you want to do with your life? Why not give yourself some time to think.. to reflect, what you have achieved so far and how you want this life to shape up. Are you satisfied with how you have been leading your life so far.  Are you satisfied with the “DAILY ROUTINE” you have been following in doing your job/study/work? Are you satisfied with what you have achieved till now?

Give meaning to your life

He has given you this wonderful gift called “LIFE”. Now it’s entirely up to you what you want to do with it.

You can continue to adapt as the world wants you to be or you can carve out your own place in this world. You can choose to go by the rulebook or you can choose to write your own rules. You can choose to continue living the way you have been or you can choose to RISE and add some meaning to it.

“The reasonable man adapts himself to the world: the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.” - George Bernard Shaw

Dream Bigger
Give names to those hidden desires. Give wings to your imaginations. Allow them to fly.  Are you contented with following instructions at your current job or is that corner cabin in the office that you have been secretly dreaming of or is it the thought of starting your own venture that excites you more. Are you happy in leading the college union or want to lead the state or may be Country some day.  Why be content with moon when you can aim for stars. You are not dreaming big enough if people don’t call your dreams unreasonable and senseless. You are not dreaming big enough if you don’t question your own sanity at times.

In his early days, Dhirubhai Ambani used to go to 5 star hotel to sip a cup of coffee. It would  knock off a substantial part of his monthly salary but he wanted to get used to that 5 star coffee. He dared to dream big at that time when it looked almost impossible and went on to achieve more than even he had imagined.
Dreaming for something which looks achievable doesn’t excite you. It takes something gigantic to pump up those adreanile levels. Dream big enough for your dreams to goad you and scare you at the same time.

Write ‘em down
The best way to start will be to jot down what all you want in life. It may be that Shiny two seater on the roads or that monstrous NightRod. It may be that corner cabin in your office or the best entrepreneur of the year award.

It may be meaningful relationships with people around you or that
grand house you want to gift your mother. It may be the excitement filled living on the edge life.. or it may be the ability to bring about positive change in other people’s lives.
Once you have a list with you, Find out ways to fulfill them. And believe me… If you are really passionate about what you want, you will.

Set a Deadline
You have to set a time by when you think you will achieve your goal. Setting a deadline will keep you on your toes. Once you have a plan, make smaller milestones on way to achieve the ultimate goal. See to it that you keep crossing them one by one.
Keep revising your goals

Nothing but Change is constant in this world. Things that have a great significance today may not stand the same tomorrow. Keep revising your goals. What after you have achieved your goals??? Set bigger ones. What after you have changed your life for good and realized your dreams… help other people realize theirs. That is what you call adding meaning to your life.
